I run a portal that advertises stage performers. Every performer that purchase an advertising area has it's own business profile. Until now every performer could have chosen one of the 3 types: 

1. Lecturer

2. Workshow facilitator

3. Consoltant

1st question: I would like to add another type called "4. Stage performer" - will adding another checkbox option damage or change anything in my database ?

2nd question: Until now every performare could have classified himself into 1 category (seblod field type: Select - Simple). e.g. History or Science or Arts etc. How do I turn this field into a multiple selection type (only 3 categories will be allowed) without damaging the database I already have ?

3rd question: Is there any way I could add a slideshow to every performer's profile that will present only his images that were already uploded to this path: 

/images/usersprofileimg/ID_OF_USER/_thumb1/IMAGE_NAME.jpg
