Hi guys, I'm just wondering which one is considered as best practice when I need to create a WYSIWYG for my content type, whether to use Article's Full Text (Joomla) or creating a new WYSIWYG field?

I try and avoid introtext and fulltext where possible unless I want to use joomla menu items or 3rd party extensions to render content in some way (such a shame that most developers either don’t know about seblod or if they do, they don’t care that they do know, or maybe octopoos don’t care to have them know, not quite figured that one out)

Any reason why you are avoiding introtext? As it's suggested as default storage in seblod field creation

I do use intro and fulltext, but I dont like the seblod syntax in there, prefer to create fields and keep away ... just a throw back probably from when i was learning seblod and losing the battle

I see. I don't like it too actually, but because of everytime I use seblod I'm assuming I won't use joomla com_content, so it's okay for me.

So you prefer to use free storage to create a field?

Not free storage, just create another column in db.

Anyway, I think introtext as the default value is just, a default value, not a recommendation.
