Try a different storage type.

Should your text field only be available in the content type where you created the field?

Then try Storage Standard -> Article -> name of your field -> check the box "Alter".

This way SEBLOD creates a new field in the table cck_store_form_nameofyourcontenttype and stores the data there without the ::name-of-my-field:: tags.

When you then retrieve the data in your dynamic select, you should get what you want.

SEBLOD is a very good tool. But the learning curve is pretty high and the documentation is somewhat wild.

But once you get the basic concepts, it is a great extension to work with.
