I would like to replace one field text with an image. I have tried to apply the
typograph image function, as I presumed this was how to change a field
link to an image, but it did not work. Essentially need a field (which
is a link to a file) to be an image rather than having the full file
name written out in the list.
If you could help me with this problem, I would be much obliged!!

Hello,
if in your text field you have the right path to the image you could use the plugin typo HTML on the text field with this code :
<img src="/*value*">without the /
