Hy there...i buyed the amazing plugin "Search Generic" and it worked well when i type in some search words. Now i want to link a Field (Field (Optional) in the Search Generic Field options. In my Form the Values of this Field (Select simple and also tried it with a dynamic multiple) shows as a dropdown list. All good until there. But if i select a entry of this the search shows me all articles and not only the articles that contains the values of my choosen dropdown entry. Has anybody got the same problem.? I dont understand why it worked with type in terms, but not with a selected dropdown entry.... thank you

Hi Pyro,
It's not clear to me exactly what you are trying to achieve here. Are you trying to add your Simple Select field to your search form? or add it to your Search Generic field?
If you are trying to add it to your form, then perhaps you need to play with the Match settings in order to return the correct values in your search results.
If you are trying to add it to your Search Generic field, its not clear why you would want to do this? If you want to create a text-based search field to search the contents of your simple select field. Then you can create a new text field, locked to the same content type as your simple select field, with the same storage, which will do the same task.

Thank you _JRMO. Sorry if i wrote it a little bit confused.....
What i want to achieve is a dropdown List with all possible Countries....depending what country i choose in the dropdown, i want to show the adress....the search generic field i use to search in all possible fields of the adress.

thank you for you Inputs. I think i Need to explain a Little bit more the Problem. I also tried your hints, but it is not exactly what i Need.
What is working Well:
I created a search and list type with following fields (in the search form)
- CCK Dynamic Select ->Option 2 set to Type of Article
- Generic Search Field. In the Settings of the Field i added all possible Fields where demanded values (countries) could be stored. / Set Variation to Filter
I loaded the Search Form in Frontend, type in the Search term (Italy) and it loads the correct Articles that containing the "Italy" Value in one of the predefined Fields from the Generic Search Field.
Until here all perfect!
What is not working

In my case i linked a dynamic select field which is listing all possible Values for the Fields that will be searched. So my Goal is to let the user select his Country and the article should load BUT.
When i do this, all articles get listed, filter function didnt work. I compared the URLS from the first (what is working well) and the second (what is not working) and they do have exact the same URL and Parameters.
I realy have no idea what the Problem could be.
I will be glad about every hint, as i search for a solution about 3 weeks now, and should be finnished this Project until middle of may

Hi Pyro,
Please send a screenshot of your Select Dynamic field configuration. I think the issue might be coming from the fact that you're trying to search in your Select Dyanmic field where you have setup the Text > Title and Value > ID. What you need is Text > Title and Value > Title if you want to search with keywords. (I think... just a guess).
Please attach the screen shot. Also please send a screen shot of your search in the front-end. I want to see your fields in the search form and the results listing.
