What is the best approach for controlling module assignment once you have clicked on a link in a list to see the full content view?
In many cases, you want to clear the modules so that you just reach a page with the content only. I usually create a hidden menu with links to my content categories and make sure that the modules that don't want displayed are not assigned to these hidden menu items. I then configure the link (via 'view+') to point to the hidden menu item. This works well, but I am not sure it's the best approach. Are there any other methods?

I know that the modules have the option to specify values from the url to show or hide modules, not sure if that is gonna be adequate for you.
