Is Sebold capable of all the things Community Builder has to offer? Or would it be better to use CB for the community and integrate it to Sebold?
Hello! I started with Community Builder. Then changed to Seblod.
A bit of learning curve, but a lot more flexibility in the end.
Seblod is capable to do everything CB can do and much more.
Templating is much easier with Seblod.
Ability to create custom search list easier with Seblod - CB not capable of separate menu items per search list without showing dropdown menu of other lists. [unless you modify the code then watch out for updates].
Importing/Exporting data easier with Seblod or directly from database as you have control of tables with Seblod.
Both Seblod and CB are 'heavy', so if you need tables or other list types for your site, why use 2 extensions?
If you purchased the most popular Seblod plugins which have Lifetime License and Free Updates you spend equal to 1 year subscription of Community Builder. I would start with SD Field Concat, SD Live CCK, Captcha, History Back, and SD Simple Simon template.

Almost forgot, for SEF you need Third party plugin with Community Builder.
One of the delimmas I'm facing is that I need a radius distance search feature, and it is my understanding that is not possible with Sebold. It is available with CB.
I have seen he map module, but it doesn't offer the ability to search by distance from a specific point.
i have a site with 200 users, made with CB and im thinking in migration, from CB to seblod... any tips, for that?

When you talk about the possibility of SEBLOD to do everythings CB does... It is included the possibility e to create a Friendship System like a Social Network?
If the answare is YES, could you explain me HOW can I create a Friendship System using SEBLOD?
My hypotesis is to create a different user group for each user, called user-Friends. Is this the right way? But in this situation how is it possible for a user to accept the friendship request of another user and put him inside his userFriend Group?
