Hi guys,

in past, around the Seblod 3.2 update, default Forms & Content Types layouts were been changed to have them more as the Joomla ones.

During the Seblod updates these are not changed, but, following this tip we can update them manually.

Unfortunately in the Form & Content Types view (when editing one in the administrator), on the right of the "Site Form" tab, we have a Field Selector:

Some of the "Types" have been moved under other positions. I investigated and in detail, as far as I found, there are few changements:

- Link: has been moved from HTML to CONTENT

- Tabs: has been moved from Joomla! to HTML

- Author: was in CONTENT, has been removed

Article (Related): was in Joomla!, has been removed

- YouTube: was in VIDEO, has been removed together with its "VIDEO" "category"

This generete me confusion, having to work with old Seblod installations and the new ones.

So, I'm looking for have the same Field "Types" and ordered as in a new fresh SEBLOD 3.12.2 instalation. Please:

1 - Can you confirm that those 5 changes are the only ones ?

2 - Anyway, I searched into the DB trying to find those list menu value, but without success. I'm not been able to find them in any table. Please, Can you give me instructions where can I find them ?

Fields that you list as removed are now available for free from Seblod store, they are not in the core package anymore.

Changes are listed in changelogs for each release https://www.seblod.com/changelogs

I don't understand what is meant by 2.

Hi Klas, thanks

A - for the two that are been moved:

- Link: has been moved from HTML "category" to CONTENT "category"

- Tabs: has been moved from Joomla! "category" to HTML "category"

Practically they changed their "category" position into the "Types" drop down menu. Please, How to change that position into the drop down menu ?

(I took a look into the DB, but I'm not been able to find them).

B - Thanks, I found the three fields:

Group is set from fields install xml and stored in Joomla's extensions table in params, you can't change that or you will have problems on updates. Why do you want' to change this anyway?

Hi Klas,

on older than SEBLOD 3.1.x new installations we have:

- Link: into HTML category

- Tabs: into Joomla! category

Upgrading those SEBLOD installations (3.1.x > 3.2.x > 3.3x ...etc.) to the last SEBLOD 3.12.2 we still have:

- Link: into HTML category

- Tabs: into Joomla! category

on newer than SEBLOD 3.2 version new installations, till the last 3.12.2, we have:

- Link: into CONTENT category = moved

- Tabs: into HTML category = moved

I don't know why during the upgrades, their drop down positions have not been changed like in the last fresh installations. I don't know if is a small SEBLOD "bug", or if is something wanted.

Now, I'm work on last SEBLOD 3.12.2 sites, where some of them are old installations than the 3.1.x, others newer then the 3.2.x.

This mean have Links and Tabs in differents positions in the drop down menu, generating in me confusion. For example: sometimes Ihave to look fot Tab into HTML, sometimes into Joomla!.

So, I'm looking for have the same Field "Types" drop down menu ordering, as in a new fresh SEBLOD 3.12.2 instalation.

Please, With "Joomla's extensions table in params", Which table do you mean ?

Why you are saying "you can't change that or you will have problems on updates" ? I'm looking only for changing the order, nothing else, and in the same way of the last SEBLOD releases.

Many Thanks for help !

Joomla extensions table is called - well.. #__extensions :) And group is stored in parameters column.

If you are trying to make it the same as default new installation you won't have problems, I thought you are trying to reverse the change.

Hi Klas,

Wonderful ! That is solved, for users that need, into #_extensions table:

- Link: plg_cck_field_link > parameters column: PLG_CCK_FIELD_GROUP_CONTENT = moved into CONTENT category

- Tabs: plg_cck_field_tabs > parameters column: PLG_CCK_FIELD_GROUP_HTML = moved into HTML category

Now, I did a test and I add a question: on new Joomla 3.7.5 + Seblod 3.12.2 instalation, I installed the 3 plugins here below:

- CONTENT > Author

- Joomla! > Article (Related)

- VIDEO > YouTube

Going in: New (or Edit) Form & Content Types > Field Selector (on the right of the "Site Form" tab):

All App Folders > All Content Types > "Types" (in the drop down menu they are listed, correctly added to the right "category" and in the Youtube case its "VIDEO" "category has been created) > #

But, when selected, no one plugins are listed !

Please, What am I missing ? Where are ? (I checked in Joomla > Extension > Plugins and all 3 plugins are enabled)

There you can only see already made instances of this fields, there is a dinstinction between fields (they come with core or are installed as plugins) and their instances (coming from core, installed apps etc - or made by the user). You need to create new instance of this field, either by clicking on + or in fields manager. I suggest you also read in this manual about unlocked/locked storage
