Hi @ll,

I've read in the changelog, the MySQL tables storage engine has been switched from MyISAM to InnoDB, being now the same engine as the rest of the Joomla database's tables.

That's nice, but in my case after updating seblod to 3.6.0 and Joomla to 3.4.1 (from 3.5.0 and 3.3.6), the engine remains being the same.

I notice in install.sql these changes only affect the tables IF NOT EXIST. Is this for some concrete reason or is correct updating the engines of these tables with a small script or by hand?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you for reading.
Best regards.

Hi root,

Great question!

To many risk to update existing tables in regards of your environment. That's why we decided to do this only on new tables like written on changelogs.

So we invite you to do this manually in a test environment at first.

Thanks.

Hi @Bes,

Thank you for your answer. The only thing I can say is after one month testing, I have no problem updating the engine by hand.

Kind regards.
