Hi Seblod

I have made some atempts to export my articles from Joomla 2.5 with Seblod Exporter and import them to Joomla 3 with Seblod importer.

But when I try to import the file, the fields do not get the content / data. The art_title for instance will not have the title, but it will have the date and time of when the import is made.

I really hope you can help me with this.

Hi,

you probably have some field names set incorrectly (field name becomes column name in exported file and also needs to match field name in content type on new site), or you have set some other setting like column delimiter incorrectly, they match when exporting and importing.

The first step is to verify your data was exported correctly, open cvs file and see column names and delimiter that was used. Read

I can´t find out what is wrong. The data in the introtext column in the database is not exported. But the introtext column is very important in Seblod, as it contains many other fields. Am I right ? Allthough it seems like the data in the introtext is converted to an extra column in the exported file. Is that how it should be ? And I can´t figure out why the title data won´t import, it seems to be exported in the file.

Is there a videotutorial on this or something ?

I just tested with joomla 25, core article type and exporter 1.4.0 and everything works correctly - what is exported as introtext column is only introtext text, other fields stored in introtext are exported separately, so extra columns are what you should get if you have fields storing to introtext. What matters here is field names, not storage fields, so your content type in joomla 3 should have the fields with the same names as the ones in joomla 2.5, storages can be different and probably should be as usage of introtext to store fields is not recommended.

Hi Klas

Now I have found out what the problem was. I had this in the exported file:
Notice: ob_clean(): failed to delete buffer. No buffer to delete in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/joomla2.5tilmigration/components/com_cck/download.php on line 92
When I manually deleted this from the file, the importer worked as it should.

Do you know why this was in the file? Can I somehow prevent this in the future ?
