I created an app, made the fields and set the permissions. I can not figure out how to set the form to a specific category so when its submitted in article manager it puts its under the predefined category. Thanks

I've search tutorials and videos but can not seem to find how you can set what category it saves when a form is submited in the front end. I've tried going to Components > Seblod > Forms & Content Types and selecting my form but see no options there for it.

Hi rmacias,

welcome on SEBLOD forum.

You must add the field "Article Category" in the site form view of your content type.

Have a look to the manual below.

I created a blank form so I don't have "Article Category" but even when I go to create an Article in New Form I don't see it I see "Article Category" I see "Article Category Id" but that also doesn't have a place to choose a category. I've watched the Adding 3 Custom fields tutorial they show you how it works on the back end but I need it for the front end. And I don't want my users to be able to choose a category I need it to be pre-selected.

Hi rmacias,

yes I was speaking about the field "Article Category Id".

To force your content to have a specified category, you must add this field in your site form in the position "hidden".

On this field, with option 2, you specify in the input "live value"  the desired category. Just click on the arrow on the right of the input.

Thank you so much I spent Lionel I spent the entire day looking for this so if anyone else is having this issue here is how you do it. I just didn't notice those << next live value.

Go to Components > Seblod > Form & Content Type > Select the form your created or create a new one > look for Article Category Id (if you are creating a blank one click the + button and select under Type Jform Category and save > add it to your construction by clicking the left arrow from the selection on the right >  now below the + click on the number 2 on the right > that will change it to live value look for << that is under the Live Value column now you can select your category > to hide it click on number 1 and change variation to hidden.

Darn I made the change but when I go to article manager it still says uncategoried. Does it not change it in article manager?
