Come on guys, this could be a live saver for a large SEBLOD site.

As we cannot delete the assets (photos, files) of the deleted articles or ads or any other content in the same time the article is deleted at least if we can get an email when it's deleted we can then delete the assets manually.

Please, there has to be a way to get that email

Like SEBLOD - Bes say, there is no generic way to delete assets. But when an upload_file or upload_image is store in a folder by content, the way is existing and the methode is the same as your new request "Send an email when content deleted".

You have to create a Joomla plugin Content and use the event "OncontentBeforeDelete".

In this event you have the data that will be delete, so you can do what you want like

• delete attachment
• send email
• .....

Hi Lionel,

I really hoped that it would be easier to get the email than to delete the assets.

For a knowledgeable person it would probably be a piece of cake, but with my php skills it will surely take me more than a year to make that plugin :-). I would prefer to pay for such a plugin.

Could you, the masters, please think in this direction. It would be greatly appreciated from all of us. I would happily pay you 20 - 30 euros for such a plugin.
