My question is in title. We have many comparisons between Drupal 7 and Joomla 3.0. Drupal is often better. But I have never find a comparison between Joomla + Seblod and Drupal (+ modules like Views....) 7 and 8.
Which one is better for you ? Which one have better performances ? Which one is easier to learn ?

I never use drupal, but i heard drupal make big transition between version 7 and 8 coz on drupal 8, its based on symfony framework
I know Joomla (very good)and Drupal (good only) So far I prefer Joomla. But this question is like which car u like to drive, Audi or BMW...
Both CMS are very good, some people prefere Drupal with Community websites. Since I know seblod I can offer my clients a form to fill in the content without making mistakes (formatting, too big images ...)
If someone starts new learning cms, then both systems are ok to learn.
I have tried both, I think Drupal have more possibilities, but Joomla is more attractive with Templates
With upcoming joomla 3.2 , there' Rapid Application Development framework.. it promise non coder create extension on joomla, how good (and flexible) is that... also with seblod when you get familiar with the system.. its really worthed the time.. the only thing that i still need to tweak is cache system, coz seblod will broke with default joomla core cache system...
The biggest difference between Joomla + Seblod and Drupal is documentation.
Sure. The documentation SEBLOD is still very poor. Few things team, most are the users themselves who do.
True. We can blame the community as well.
Lets hope it gets better with time.
Regarding the Joomla - Drupal discussion... I think it depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

I would be interesting to know something which is possible with Drupal and not with Joomla + SEBLOD.
About performance, Joomla + SEBLOD is a lot faster than Drupal. I don't know yet about Drupal 8.
Almost all huge Drupal sites are running with cache system. Which is a big deal for us about real time.
Don't forget that with SEBLOD you manage exactly how fields are saved it's not the case on Drupal CCK. Don't forget that Drupal save a lot of data by key/value in one table.

I really would like to read a comprehensive article about Seblod Storage Options and their pros and cons. And most important: Examples and usecases. I think many users are interested in this part of Seblod.
(I am aware of all currently available infos i.e. youtube, upcoming book example chapter etc. ;-) )
Despite all that, Seblod team should provide some details and experiences about this technical part. The opinion and advice of the original developers is essential, IMHO.

It will be interesting to compare with some tests, the perforamances between Drupal 7 and Joomla 3 + Seblod 3. I think all is possible with Joomla + Seblod but maybe its easier to find tutorials with Drupal.
Bes, have you some contacts with Joomla dev team ? Maybe it will be cool to integrate Seblod directly in a next version of Joomla :) I dont understand why Joomla dont have his integrated cck.
Its an interessting thing with Drupal, when a moduel or extension is popular, dev integrate it in Drupal, like module Views in Drupal 8.

Yes it's true often people only compare a bare Joomla with a bare Drupal. Seblod is not know enough! This is why at Pulsar we regulary try to push the seblod solution in events. We are convinced that the more we are , the easier it will be to get a better solution.
I really like seblod which is according to me a very good way to extend joomla but the main problem, if you want to compare it with Drupal, is the joomla/seblod frontier, not the cck itself.
We have big issues with the way joomla builds its routes with itemids for example. Joomla router is based on menuitems and it only knows the core joomla menu types (articles, list of articles of a category, blog...) but unfortunately not seblod list menu items.
The category depedency is another real issue since Joomla will try to guess the proper sef route given the category of the content. but now we have tags, seblod lists etc... which are not taken into account in the router.
There are other examples like this one. It shows some difficult issues not with Seblod... but with the CMS/CCK frontier.

one of the major benefits drupal 7 has over joomal/seblod is in the multisite area. joomla/seblod is limited in number of sites, and has problems, drupal does not have limit that we have found - only practical limits of server etc.
we use both cms, depending on requirements, and find both good and always getting better.
Bes mentioned that lot of data stored per table, because each field is a table the number of fields must be used wisely in drupal. however, this can also optimized by using you own modules if required.
payment systems are supported easier and better in drupal we find.
one of the other benefits of drupal is the ability to integrate with civicrm easily.
