PS I wrote this thinking on a VIP General Forum question, but has been saved as a normal General Forum topic

Hi guys,

I have to setup a new Multilanguage (Joomla+Seblod) site and we are oriented to do it following the "1 - Separate item for each language" Seblod setting up Multilanguage sites Manual. Now:

1 - Some users should translate the articles for some languages, and / or check and correct the prefilled translated articles and confirm the check-in (and/or publish them). Do you have any suggestion on create a Lists & Search Type like this one where the user can have an entire list of the unchecked / untranslated articles and work on them ?

2 - thinking this Site (Joomla+Seblod) could be transformed in a Seblod Muti Site in future:
- Is a main Category (for each site on multi site) still a need for Seblod ?
- At the begin, on the main site (when is still one site), Is a main Category a must, or we could create it in future (when multisite will be a need) avoiding an unnecessary complication at the begin ?

Thanks for help

Hi,

Have you managed to figure this out? If not I could try to help you out.

1 - If you create a field on the form for checking out content that is done, you could just filter the list to show what has not been checked.

2 - As far as I understand the ACL is what is controlling where things show up, so that shouldn't be an issue regarding categories - if I understand you question correctly.

For 1 just add translation status field on articles (untranslated, unchecked, checked), then you can use it to filter articles

Hi Klas,

thanks for suggestion. For 2 "thinking on Site (Joomla+Seblod) that in future could be transformed in a Seblod Muti Site":

- At the begin (without "Multi Site"), on the main site, a main Category (asked from Seblod for each site on multi site), is not needed, right ?
- Then, "enabling the Seblod Multi Site" the creation of a main Category for each site should be a need, right ?

I frankly don't know enough about multisites to answer this with certainty, but as each site is acl based I think you should technically be fine with one category for all sites, but it can get confusing, so I would still recommend separate categories.
