Hi everyone, im new arroud here.
I searched this question here in the forum but i could not get a direct answer and since those threads look quite old im creating a new one.
So this is a simple question, Jomsocial profiles are in a different place or table, and when i create a new search type i just cant find out any link to jomsocial, i only see user, user profile etc. those are the default joomla profiles wich i only use to login to my website.
All i want is to create a custom search where members can search for users by entering search fileds that i created in jomsocial, like age, sex, and so on.

Hi,
to search in 3rd party database tables you first need to know how joomsocial stores those fields. If each field is a separate record in some table you need to create search type with field you wish to search (in search tab) and results fields (in list or item tab). With this fields you need to select Custom - Free storage type and select database table and column that holds your fields data.

i cant find a way to add these tables to seblod search. jomsocial does not show up in the "app folder" dropdown
