Hello, is there anyway to make that if a user created article, it will be automatically unpublished?

only created article, which means if user edited the article it will still be published

i know the "set article state to unpublished" but it will also affect edited article, i want strictly only new article

thanks

Hello Mario,

maybe a proper LIVE value which alters the published status field could work. For instance, hence the note in the "LoremIpsum" product:

Live Values are only applied for submission.. (when you add new items)
When you edit existing ones, Live plug-ins are not applied anymore.. in that case all fields are filled by their stored value.

Another idea: Check the URL for the current task. If in edit mode, set "article status" always to "published".

Hi Mario,

and thanks pepperstreet.

You can add two fields "state" (Article State and Article State 2) and apply on them a restriction "Workflow" :

On one field, set the parameter of the restriction workflow on "Add", and on the second set the restriction to "Edit".

Best regards

Hello Lionel, "workflow" sounds really interesting and useful! Often noticed that option, but had absolutely no clue what it is and how to use it. I even thought it is not usable yet. It screams for a tutorial article...! ;)

@Lionel & @James

Many thanks for the headsup and tutorial. I have watched "all" videos on vimeo lately, but somehow I have missed that particular one ;)

Need some help?
